The ultimate high-speed charging experience_By Edison Next

02/10/2023 - 20/01/2024

Background:

The adoption of electric and hybrid vehicles has increased thanks to various incentives. However, the current objective is to establish an extensive network of charging stations to address the so-called range anxiety.

This term refers to the fear experienced by drivers of not being able to recharge their vehicles during a journey, which is a significant obstacle to switching to electric models.

To achieve sustainable mobility, it is crucial to ensure public accessibility to a charging infrastructure, including the integration of ultra-fast charging stations to provide rapid and convenient options for electric vehicle owners.

Challenge:

The aim of the challenge is the creation of a hub of ultra-fast charging that simultaneously offers the most advanced charging solutions and an ecosystem of services accompanying the charging process to improve the experience.

Key objectives:

  • Providing a user-friendly interface, comfortable waiting areas, and access to amenities that make the charging process enjoyable and convenient.
  • The hub should be conceived as a modular structure to increase adaptability to as many areas as possibile
  • Implementation of various power capacities and integrated systems for renewable energy generation and storage.
