BACKGROUND
Idra Water is an innovative startup redefining water filtration through a patented technology designed to combine performance and sustainability. At the heart of its solutions is “Claysilite”, a proprietary filtration material that is fully recyclable, regenerable, and completely free from plastic, resins, and synthetic materials. Driven by the conviction that eliminating plastic is a necessity rather than a choice, Idra Water has developed a new generation of filtration systems that reduce environmental impact without compromising quality. Through continuous research and innovation, the company is advancing sustainable hydration solutions for homes, workplaces, schools, and public spaces, making responsible water consumption more accessible and practical for everyone.
CHALLENGE
The goal of the challenge is to develop the first universal filtering straw. The solution should:
• Be compatible with any bottle already owned by users;
• Reduce the production of new single-use or reusable containers;
• Be completely free of plastic and synthetic materials;
• Ensure low cost and accessibility for everyone;
• Generate a large-scale positive environmental impact;
• Promote a more sustainable consumption model.
N.B. The filtration technology will be supplied by the company and can be molded into any shape and size.
