BACKGROUND

The Marazzato Foundation, established in 2023, promotes initiatives focused on social, environmental, and cultural responsibility. Among its main goals is the preservation and enhancement of the historic truck collection once owned by Carlo Marazzato, son of the company’s founder.
The collection, now housed primarily in a dedicated showroom in Stroppiana, in the province of Vercelli, includes over 280 vehicles from some of the most prominent heavy-duty manufacturers: IsottaFraschini, Fiat, Lancia, Alfa Romeo, OM, as well as Spa, Volvo, and Saurer.
The Foundation’s mission goes beyond exhibition. It offers both practical and theoretical experiences aimed at engaging the public with historic vehicles. Each truck tells stories tied to mechanics, the aesthetic of Italian industry, working conditions, and the links to major industrial players of the past century -reflecting the social and cultural evolution of transportation and historic vehicles.

CHALLENGE

The challenge proposed by the foundation consists of:

• Reorganizing the exhibition area by creating immersive themed settings;
• Contextualizing historical vehicles within specific times and places;
• Designing a scenographicsetup that considers technical, aesthetic, and cost-related aspects;
• Using immersive technologies to enhance the visitor experience;
• Creating environments consistent with major industrial contexts and specific historical-social moments.
