{"id":608,"date":"2020-09-25T21:09:44","date_gmt":"2020-09-25T19:09:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/clik.polito.it\/?post_type=challenge&#038;p=608"},"modified":"2020-09-25T22:22:45","modified_gmt":"2020-09-25T20:22:45","slug":"clear","status":"publish","type":"challenge","link":"https:\/\/clik.polito.it\/en\/challenge\/clear\/","title":{"rendered":"CLEAR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>More than 35% of the microplastics come from the washing of synthetic clothing and enter into circulation due to the discharge water of the appliances.<br \/>\nFollowing the introduction of the EU Ecolabel, all the next washing machines will have to be equipped with a solution that filters or removes microplastics in wastewater.<br \/>\nThe challenge proposed by ROLD, a leading manufacturer of components for the appliances sector and supplier of the largest manufacturers of household appliances (white goods), requires the design of some solutions for the environmental problem of microplastics emitted in particular by washing machines.<\/p>\n<p>The main focal points of the Challenge:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To devise a system \/ process capable of separating the microplastics from the water discharge of a washing machine and allowing its removal \/extraction \/ destruction.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze price and useful life of the filter and the economic impact of the price on the customer.<\/li>\n<li>Acquisition of data about the developed process coming from washing machine through sensors and management of them through the cloud (Azure).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This activity will be recognized within your educational plan with 8 CFU credits.<br \/>\nCheck your institutional email, look for \u2018<strong>Challenge @ Clik<\/strong>\u2019 and read the regulation carefully.<br \/>\nSIGN UP NOW!
