By definition, the digital divide is the gap between those who have access to the Internet and other ICT technologies and the skills to use them, and those who do not use them or are unable to use them. However, in the current times the digital divide also extends to social rights and citizenship, insofar as those citizen cannot exploit digital services, due to lack of equipment, connectivity, or skills. Such gap is even wider for persons with disabilities, if the digital services do not offer full accessibility of their interfaces. The combination of these factors causes exclusion from the advantages of digital citizenship, from the rights of citizens and causes socio-economic gaps.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1><strong>Challenge<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>The goal of the challenge is to reduce the digital divide by focusing on citizens and their needs, creating simple, transparent, dynamic and inclusive digital services.<\/p>\n<p>The objective of the challenge is to reduce the digital divide and allow easier and immediate access to the digital services of Italian municipalities and the Public Administration in general.<\/p>\n<p>Taking as a reference the Italian context and the various target groups of citizens, each with their own needs and responsibilities, the\u00a0objective of the Challenge is to identify solutions that guarantee the\u00a0possibility for all individuals to express digital citizenship, overcoming\u00a0possible barriers, such as, for example: connectivity, skills, disability.\u200b<\/p>\n<p>The solutions must, as much as possible,\u00a0take into account\u00a0the variety of\u00a0digital rights and duties, and contain:\u200b<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>innovative interaction methods, extending and complementing current technologies,\u200b also in a multi-channel and multi-device setting<\/li>\n<li>enabling factors,\u200b<\/li>\n<li>contextual innovation of the administrative processes,<\/li>\n<li>management of secure authentication in compliance with privacy\u00a0legislation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:1,&quot;335551620&quot;:1,&quot;335559683&quot;:0,&quot;335559685&quot;:0,&quot;335559731&quot;:0,&quot;335559737&quot;:0,&quot;335562764&quot;:2,&quot;335562765&quot;:1,&quot;335562766&quot;:4,&quot;335562767&quot;:0,&quot;335562768&quot;:4,&quot;335562769&quot;:6}\"><strong>In collaboration with PagoPA and Torino City Lab.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Challenges are worth 8 curricular or extracurricular credits.<\/p>\n<p>Check the curriculum of your degree programme to verify if you can choose a Challenge in substitution of for your free choice credits.<\/p>\n<h3>Check your institutional email and read the regulation carefully,<br \/>\nthen apply at <strong>www.challengeatpolito.it<\/strong>.<\/h3>\n<p><strong>SIGN UP NOW!
